< back to EARLIER WORK
Paintings 2000
This last group of paintings from the earlier work hints at several aspects of the work to come; the reemergence of multiple panels - a move away from the coherent single image on the wall, (He Could See a Face,) the use of the wax as a more sculptural device, (ie. The writing in Other People’s thoughts,) the primacy of the head as the icon that the artist will return to over and over again, and the inclusion of salt.
