Rust Heads on fabric 2006/2007

All images are stretched onto wood stretchers.

Heads that were formed by laying cotton gauze over a rusting image. These images were created by laying a piece of cotton gauze over a rusting image on salted wood. The fabric is wetted and salted over a period of days, causing the rust to be drawn up into the fabric. Once finished, the fabric is then stretched onto a wooden stretcher.
