Pre-Darwin Sidewalk Installations

Having an idea for an outdoor public installation, in late 2005 Ms. Solondz began experimenting with making the rust process work on concrete.  Concrete as a substrate was less receptive than her wax basins.  Over the year, she did numerous experimental installations on sidewalks around Providence, and later with students at Rhode Island School of Design and Simmons College, Boston.
