Rust on Salted Wood 2006/2007

These images were formed by applying iron filings onto salted wood surfaces. These heads were formed by applying iron filings onto wood. The wood was covered with an adhered salt coating and when the wood became wet, the iron filings rusted and spread. The resulting images continue to rust and change for several months.
